Sleep awareness day scheduled Saturday
Tampa General Hospital's Sleep Disorder Center is teaming up with sleep labs from University Community Hospital and Morton Plant Mease for "Sleep Awareness Day." The program is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at 8021 Citrus Park Town Center Mall at UCH Health Source. Seminars address sleep apnea, insomnia and other sleep disorders. The University of South Florida College of Public Health, 13201 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., is offering free health screenings from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. Screenings are available for cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, vision and dental and confidential testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Norman Rockwell exhibit in Ruskin
The Blue Ibis Art Gallery at Frame Crafters Inc. is hosting an exhibit of works by Norman Rockwell. The exhibit will run from Monday through April 7 at 205 U.S. 41 in Ruskin. The Zonta Club of Tampa, 3101/2 N Lauber Way, is accepting applications for the Grants for Career Assistance through Tuesday. The Jane Dowdell grant program is designed to provide career assistance to economically disadvantaged women who have few other resources.
