Panel advice pours in© St. Petersburg Times, published April 1, 2001 More than 500 readers volunteered to participate in our new St. Petersburg Times Money Panel. They submitted forms that appeared in the paper and online and have agreed to share their opinions and experiences for articles about investments, personal finance and other money matters. Reporters will contact many of them in the months to come. One such story appears today, featuring some of our most experienced money panelists: readers who are in their 80s and 90s. Thanks to everyone who responded. As a token of our appreciation, the Times conducted a random drawing from the forms we received. Michael Kondrchek of Seminole won four tickets to opening night of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays' 2001 season as well as dinner for four at the Batter's Eye Restaurant at Tropicana Field. Kondrchek, 47, is a self-employed researcher who takes a keen interest in the stock market's ups and downs. His prediction: "There will be a recovery, but it will not be until the fourth quarter at the earliest." He said he favors blue chips and utility stocks for his portfolio while waiting for a market turnaround. -- Helen Huntley, Times staff writer © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • St. Petersburg Times
