CANNELLA ELEMENTARY: A kindergarten roundup for new students will be at 8:30 a.m. April 10 and at 7:30 p.m. April 23 at the school, 10707 Nixon Road. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to register. Parents must bring each child's birth certificate, health and immunization records, Social Security number and proof of residency. If unable to attend, parents may stop by the main office to pick up kindergarten registration packets. For more information, call (813) 975-6941.

CITRUS PARK ELEMENTARY: The prekindergarten and Head Start roundup will be from 9 to 11 a.m. April 10 in the school's media center, 7700 Gunn Highway. HUNTER'S GREEN ELEMENTARY: The PTA will host a '70s dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the school's multipurpose room, 9202 Highland Oak Drive. Tickets bought in advance are $1 for admission or $4 for admission, hot dog, chips and drink. Tickets at the event are $2 for admission or $5 for food and admission. MANISCALCO ELEMENTARY: A kindergarten workshop for parents whose children will be starting at Maniscalco this fall will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Issues to be discussed will include grade level expectations, state benchmarks, the curriculum and how parents can prepare children for school. This meeting is for adults only. WALKER MIDDLE: The school will present "Orchestra in the Park" at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the school's courtyard, 8282 N Mobley Road.
