TREASURE ISLAND -- The Causeway Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday to complete repairs to some damaged parts discovered during recent maintenance work. The span needs to be in the open position for the work, so the closing will not affect boat traffic.
The city recently began a two-year study to replace or rehabilitate the 64-year-old Causeway Bridge by 2005. Repairs completed in 1995 were designed to last 10 years.
