Midway throws together several oldies, which are all mildly fun. No load times make the experience a little more bearable than the PlayStation version.

It's funny how companies try to use the phrase "arcade style" to explain away a one-dimensional title such as this. Move forward, shoot. That's what players are asked to do, and the control isn't even precise.

Daytona USA

SYSTEM: Dreamcast

MAKER: Hasbro

PRICE: $39.99

Finally, Dreamcast does justice to Daytona USA, with full-fledged graphics and added online connectivity. Fans of the arcade game now have a perfect port.

Grade: B+

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001

SYSTEM: PlayStation 2

MAKER: EASports

PRICE: $49.99

Tiger 2001 offers a different swinging system from most golf games, not to mention plenty of challenges, such as trying to play from three down against another pro. Fans of other golf games, however, may take issue with the use of a control stick, as opposed to the digital pad.

Grade: B-

Triple Play Baseball

SYSTEM: PlayStation 2

MAKER: EASports

PRICE: $49.99

Triple Play makes all three facets of baseball easy to control and uses slick camera changes in the middle of play. These changes can be a bit choppy, though, and the game could have used a little more energy. It's still solid.

NBA Hoopz

SYSTEM: PlayStation 2

MAKER: Midway

PRICE: $49.99

NBA Hoopz basically is the successor to NBA Jam for PS2. Like its Midway brother NFL Blitz, Hoopz consists of mindless, incessant scoring. Even with friends, it wears thin after a while.

Grade: C-
