STUDENTS OF THE MONTH -- West Citrus Elks and Crystal River High school announce the Students of the Month for March, Shauntrell Nelson andAndrew Preston. Shauntrell, 18, has been active in National Honor Society, with the Gasparilla Singers, in vocal Chamber Ensemble and in Concert and Women Choirs. She has been a weightlifter for three years and is in Navy JROTC. She does community service at Wee Care Day Care and at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Shauntrell is the state weightlifting champion and the Citrus County weightlifting champion. She is a Navy JROTC Leadership Academy graduate and received a superior at the Florida Vocal Association competition. She has a 4.2 grade point average and is the daughter of Ronnie and Kenisher Edwards of Crystal River. Shauntrell plans to attend Bethune Cookman and study law enforcement or dentistry.

Andrew, 17, has been active in Student Council as vice president, as the Web master for the music department, as an American Red Cross professional rescuer and in track and field. He has been an All County Band top chair for four years, on the all-conference swim team and has received a superior at the F.V.A. Choral Competition.

Andrew has a 4.34 grade point average and is the son of Jeffrey Preston and Shannon Dask of Crystal River. He plans to attend the U. S. Military Academy.
