Eckerd will celebrate National Student-Athlete Day on Friday by honoring several of its students and athletes from seven high schools.

Students, families and coaches from Canterbury, Shorecrest, Boca Ciega, Gibbs, Lakewood, Northeast and St. Petersburg will join Eckerd athletes and coaches at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony at Fox Hall on the campus at 4200 54th Ave. S. in St. Petersburg.

The ceremony honors those who have achieved excellence in academics and athletics while contributing to their schools or communities.
