NOT JUST DESSERTS: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will feature Robert Marsh Thursday at Dessert With the Arts. Marsh will discuss Mesoamerican Art at the Spring Hill Drive campus of Pasco-Hernando Community College. Desserts will be served. Members are free; cost for non-members is $3. NATURE'S SONG: Chinsegut Nature Center will welcome back the songbirds on April 21 at the center north of Brooksville. Events are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. including exhibits, nature walks and bird banding. The event is free. To reach the center, take U.S. 41 7 miles north of Brooksville, then turn left on Lake Lindsey Road and go 1 mile. The nature center is on the left side of the road. For information, call 754-6722.

ALL THAT JAZZ: The Hernando Jazz Society will hold a mixer with music and dancing from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the SNPJ Hall, 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill. Admission for jazz society members is $2; non-members, $5. For information, call 683-7254.

OVER A BARREL: The 12th annual Rotary Club of Seven Springs Odessa Rodeo and Festival will be today through Sunday at Anclote River Ranch, State Road 54, Odessa. The event features food, rodeos and entertainment todayfrom 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Rodeos are at 7:30 p.m. today, 1 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the gate. Ages 10 and younger get a $2 discount; all open seating. Parking is $4. COUNTRY AT THE PAVILION: Country music guitarist Ray Riggs and the All Stars perform at Rock Crusher Canyon Garden Pavilion on April 13. Riggs was the band leader and guitarist for Barbara Mandrell and recorded with Buck Owens, Tex Williams and the Bakersfield Brass. Admission is $15, including a buffet. BEATLES FOREVER: 1964 ... The Tribute, will perform at 7 p.m. April 14 at Rock Crusher Canyon amphitheater stage. Curtain calls

The Hernando Symphony Orchestra is auditioning musicians who play the following instruments: trumpet, French horn, oboe, bassoon, cello, viola and percussion. Anyone interested may call conductor Wayne Raymond at 688-0427 to schedule an audition.

Stage West Community Playhouse will hold auditions for The Rocky Horror Show at 7 p.m. April 20 and 1 p.m. April 21 at the theater, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Those who audition must be 18 or older and bring sheet music; accompanist will be provided. Parts are available for three females, seven males and four to six additional chorus members. Lead male role must audition in high heels. Production dates are July 13-15 and 20-22. Call 683-5113.

Playhouse 19 will hold auditions for the musical Man of La Mancha at 7 p.m. April 23 and 24 at the theater, 865 U.S. 19 S Crystal River.
