TODAY-APRIL 30: An array of fanciful teapots is on exhibit in the downstairs pottery area of Pasco Art Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. The one-of-a-kind teapots were made by students in the center's pottery classes and are shaped like everything from warthogs to eggs and toast. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturdays.
TODAY-APRIL30: The paintings of Harry Farmlett are on exhibit at the Upstairs Gallery at Pasco Art Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. A reception for Farmlett will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the center.
TODAY-MAY 20: Rodgers and Hammerstein's award-winning musical Carousel continues at Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Shows are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and May 5, 12 and 19; 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 3 p.m. Sundays. Doors open two hours before each show for buffet and cash bar. SATURDAY: The Velveteen Rabbit will be performed by the Stages Production company at 10 a.m. at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. It's the story of a nursery filled with toys that dream of becoming real. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $5.
SATURDAY: Blues musician Sean Chambers will be at Bourbon Street Concert Club, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey, 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Admission is $5 for ages 21 and older; $7 for ages 18-20.
MONDAY-APRIL 30: The Japanese ink paintings of Yolanda Mayhall and the Japanese calligraphy of Ted Mayhall will be on exhibit in the new Pasco County Government Center in Dade City. Viewing hours are 9 a.m to 5 p.m. weekdays.
THURSDAY: The Pasco County Library system will hold the fourth annual Rock 'n' Read at 6 p.m. at Crews Lake Park off Shady Hills Road. Rock bands Harry Dash and People Food, as well as other groups, will provide entertainment. Admission is free for those with Pasco County library cards.
TODAY-APRIL 21: An exhibit of paintings by artist Antonio Caparello, "Myths and Metaphors," continues at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. (Alt. U.S. 19). Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
TODAY: The Moscow Nights musicians will present Music From Russia, a program of ethnic song and dance, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. The trio has performed in Russia, Europe and throughout the United States at festivals, universities, concerts and on radio and television. SATURDAY-SUNDAY: The 27th annual Tarpon Springs Arts and Crafts Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, with free entertainment continuing until 10 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday in Craig Park at Spring Bayou in Tarpon Springs. Admission is $1.
SUNDAY: The Center Players will present The Tale of Peter Rabbit at the Frog Prince Puppetry Arts Center and Theatre, 210 S Pinellas Ave. (Alt. U.S. 19), Tarpon Springs, Suite 158. In addition, guest artist Frank Lakus will present Bunny Magic Show. After the show, children can stay for a make-a-rabbit puppet workshop. MONDAY: The deadline for ordering early-bird price tickets to the 2001-2002 series of concerts by the Florida Orchestra at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge is 5 p.m. The concerts are Nov. 18, Feb. 17 and March 17. Center sections are $63; right and left sections, $60; outer sections, $57. After that, each price increases $3. Deadline to retain current seats is May 7. Single tickets go on sale Aug. 27.
