Public meeting will address school reformBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published April 8, 2001 TAMPA -- Congressman Jim Davis will hold a meeting with Hillsborough County parents to discuss federal proposals to reform public schools. President Bush has proposed dramatic changes to the public-education system, including mandatory state testing of students in grades three through eight.
