Public meeting will address school reform

TAMPA -- Congressman Jim Davis will hold a meeting with Hillsborough County parents to discuss federal proposals to reform public schools.

President Bush has proposed dramatic changes to the public-education system, including mandatory state testing of students in grades three through eight.

The meeting is 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium at Leto High School, 4409 W Sligh Ave.
