HILLSBOROUGH AVENUE AT COUNTRYWAY BOULEVARD, MARCH 23, 12:20 A.M.: A 24-year-old woman was headed west in a 1995 Saturn when she got into a fight with a passenger. The passenger, a 22-year-old man, grabbed the wheel, causing the woman to lose control. The Saturn spun off the road and hit a chain link fence. The injured were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 2. FLETCHER AVENUE AT BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD, MARCH 23, 8 A.M.: A westbound 1964 Chevrolet rear-ended a 2000 Chrysler van, pushing the van into the rear of a 1994 Chevrolet. The 1964 Chevrolet then rolled backward into a 2000 Toyota. The 1964 Chevrolet driver, a 74-year-old woman, said she tried to stop for the red light but the brakes didn't work. She was taken to James A. Haley VA Medical Center along with an 81-year-old male passenger. 3. BEARSS AVENUE AT INTERSTATE 275, MARCH 23, 10:07 A.M.: An eastbound 1997 Cadillac ran a red light and hit the side of a northbound 1999 Toyota. The Cadillac driver, a 70-year-old woman, was charged with running a red light. 4. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT MAPLEDALE BOULEVARD, MARCH 23, 10:30 A.M.: A southbound 1999 Nissan ran a red light, went into the intersection and hit a northbound 1990 Honda that was turning left at a green arrow. The Nissan spun and hit a concrete utility pole broadside. The Nissan driver, a 36-year-old man, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. Charges are pending. 5. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT BEARSS AVENUE, MARCH 23, 1:38 P.M.: A westbound 1997 Chevrolet rear-ended a 1998 Toyota that was stopped to make a right turn. The Chevrolet driver, a 22-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. 6. SOUTH VILLAGE DRIVE AT GOLF CLUB LANE, MARCH 23, 5:15 P.M.: A westbound 1995 Honda pulled out to make a left turn into the path of a northbound 1995 Chevrolet. The Honda driver, a 17-year-old girl, was charged with violation of right of way. She was taken to University Community Hospital Carrollwood along with a passenger, a 17-year-old girl. 7. EHRLICH ROAD AT HUTCHINSON ROAD, MARCH 23, 10:25 P.M.: A southbound 1998 Chevrolet made a right turn into the path of a westbound 1989 Ford truck. The Chevrolet driver, a 69-year-old man, said he thought he had enough time to make his turn. He was charged with violation of right of way. A passenger in the Chevrolet, a 62-year-old woman, was taken to Town N' Country Hospital. 8. SHELDON ROAD AT CITRUS PARK DRIVE, MARCH 24, 10:53 A.M.: A northbound 1993 Mercury van rear-ended a 1990 Chevrolet. The Chevrolet was stopped on the highway, blocking traffic, causing the crash. The Chevrolet driver, a 44-year-old man, was charged with obstructing traffic. A passenger in the Chevrolet, a 45-year-old woman, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. 9. EHRLICH ROAD AT CARROLLWOOD SPRINGS BOULEVARD, MARCH 24, 11:43 A.M.: A southbound BMW entered the intersection and cut through traffic, causing a westbound 1999 Ford commercial van to slam on the brakes, veer right and rear-end a 1997 Dodge truck. The Dodge was pushed into eastbound traffic and hit an eastbound 1998 Honda. The silver BMW drove off eastbound on Ehrlich Road. 10. 15TH STREET AT 127TH AVENUE, MARCH 24, 1:55 A.M.: A westbound 1989 Honda ran a stop sign and was broadsided by a northbound 1992 Honda. The 1989 Honda spun and hit the side of a southbound 1995 Nissan. The 1989 Honda driver, a 21-year-old woman, was charged with running a stop sign. The injured were taken to University Community Hospital. 11. NEBRASKA AVENUE AT LUTZ-LAKE FERN ROAD, MARCH 24, 2 P.M.: A northbound 1995 Ford commercial van turned left into the path of a southbound 1992 Ford truck. The 1995 Ford driver, a 28-year-old man, was charged with violation of right of way and no valid driver's license. The injured were taken to St. Joseph's and Tampa General hospitals. 12. VAN DYKE ROAD AT DALE MABRY HIGHWAY, MARCH 24, 10:28 P.M.: A 45-year-old man was in a parking lot headed west in a 1923 Ford when the throttle became stuck open. The rear tires began spinning, causing him to lose control, hit a curb and come to a rest against a trash bin at the Burger King restaurant. He suffered minor injuries. 13. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT MAPLEDALE BOULEVARD, MARCH 24, 7:50 P.M.: An unknown Ford was headed south when it made a U-turn into the path of a northbound 1999 Chevrolet truck. The Ford drove off. 14. PATTERSON ROAD AT TARPON SPRINGS ROAD, MARCH 24, 2:07 P.M.: A northbound 1981 Suzuki motorcycle hit sand in the road, went into a slide. The motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man, hit a sign post. He was not wearing protective gear and suffered cuts and scrapes. He was taken to Meese Countryside Hospital. 15. N 22ND STREET AT E 143RD AVENUE, MARCH 24, 2:27 P.M.: An eastbound 1991 Saturn turned left into the path of a southbound 1988 Plymouth. The Saturn driver, a 24-year-old woman, was charged with failure to stop and violation of driver's license restrictions. The Plymouth driver, a 42-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 16. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT LINEBAUGH AVENUE, MARCH 24, 5:45 P.M.: A southbound 1990 Ford van pulled out of an office park and swerved into the path of a 1999 Dodge. The Ford lost control, flipped, landed on its roof. A small bottle of vodka was found in the Ford with the wrong top on it. The injured were taken to University Community Hospital Carrollwood. 17. CITRUS PARK DRIVE AT GUNN HIGHWAY, MARCH 24, 9:20 P.M.: A southbound 1994 Honda turned left out of a parking lot into the path of a westbound 1982 Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcyclist fell to the pavement and slid 40 feet. The Honda driver, a 16-year-old girl, was charged with violation of right of way. The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man, said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but police were unable to find it. He was taken to University Community Hospital. 18. CROSS CREEK BOULEVARD AT KINNAN STREET, MARCH 25, 4:30 P.M.: An eastbound 1998 Chevrolet truck went off the south edge of the road. The driver, a 23-year-old man, overcorrected, swerved back across the road onto the north edge, spun and hit a light pole broadside. 19. BRUCE B. DOWNS BOULEVARD AT REGENTS PARK DRIVE, MARCH 25, 12:40 A.M.: An 18-year-old woman was headed south in a 1997 Saturn when she fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went off the road, slid sideways, rolled onto its roof and its side. 20. WETSTONE DRIVE AT STONE CREEK DRIVE, MARCH 25, 10:45 A.M.: An eastbound 1987 Chrysler rear-ended a 1984 Ford van. The Chrysler driver, a 75-year-old woman, said she felt light-headed and dizzy and didn't remember the crash. 21. GUNN HIGHWAY AT PETERSON ROAD, MARCH 25, 7:30 P.M.: A southbound 1994 Toyota rear-ended a 1996 Ford truck that was stopped for a motorcycle ahead that was turning. The Toyota driver, a 16-year-old girl, said she took her eyes off the road to put her cell phone down. She was charged with careless driving. The Ford driver, a 35-year-old man, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor back pain. 22. BUSCH BOULEVARD AT DALE MABRY HIGHWAY, MARCH 25, 1:30 P.M.: A westbound 2000 Honda van rear-ended a 1990 Isuzu truck. The Honda driver, a 41-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving and taken to University Community Hospital Carrollwood. 23. FLETCHER AVENUE AT MAPLE DRIVE, MARCH 26, 2:55 P.M.: A westbound 1989 Chevrolet truck skidded 50 feet before rear-ending a 1999 Toyota, pushing the Toyota into the rear of a 1992 Chevrolet. The 1992 Chevrolet was pushed into the rear of a 1993 Jaguar. The 1989 Chevrolet driver, a 26-year-old man, was charged with careless driving. 24. DALE MABRY HIGHWAY AT LAKE CARROLL WAY, MARCH 26, 7:20 P.M.: A northbound 2000 Chevrolet ran a red light and broadsided a westbound 1994 Ford truck. The Chevrolet driver, a 26-year-old woman, was charged with violation of a traffic control device. 25. WILSKY BOULEVARD AT LINEBAUGH AVENUE, MARCH 27, 6:07 P.M.: A northbound 1998 Ford van rear-ended a 1995 Dodge as it made a right turn. The Ford driver, a 31-year-old woman, was charged with careless driving. 26. BEARSS AVENUE AT INTERSTATE 275, MARCH 28, 6:52 A.M.: An eastbound 1994 Ford truck ran a red light and hit a northbound 1996 GMC truck. The Ford driver, a 19-year-old man, said that his brakes failed. An inspection of brakes at the scene show they appeared to be working properly. He was charged with running a red light and taken to University Community Hospital. 27. GUNN HIGHWAY AT S MOBLEY ROAD, MARCH 28, 8:19 A.M.: A southbound 1999 Nissan rear-ended a 1994 Volvo, pushing the Volvo into the rear of a 1993 Chevrolet. The Nissan driver, a 45-year-old woman, was charged with following too closely. 28. GUNN HIGHWAY AT ANDERSON ROAD, MARCH 28, 7 P.M.: An eastbound 1997 Kia truck turned left into the path of a westbound 1994 Toyota. The Kia driver, a 44-year-old woman, was charged with violation of right of way. The Toyota driver, a 37-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 29. N LAKEVIEW DRIVE AT COPPERFIELD DRIVE, MARCH 28, 8:48 P.M.: A westbound 1996 Nissan turned left into the path of a northbound 1992 Saturn. The Nissan driver, a 27-year-old woman, was charged with violation of right of way and taken to University Community Hospital. The Saturn driver, a 30-year-old woman, complained of pains but refused treatment. 30. FLORIDA AVENUE AT CONNIE AVENUE, MARCH 28, 9 P.M.: An eastbound 1987 Nissan exited a private drive and crossed the northbound lanes into the path of a northbound 1988 Chevrolet. The Chevrolet driver, a 32-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital. 31. FLETCHER AVENUE AT NEBRASKA AVENUE, MARCH 28, 9:20 P.M.: An eastbound 1993 Chevrolet truck rear-ended a 2000 Nissan truck, pushing the Nissan into the rear of a 1994 Toyota. The Chevrolet driver, a 39-year-old man, was charged with careless driving. 32. NEBRASKA AVENUE AT 138TH AVENUE, MARCH 29, 1:22 A.M.: A stolen 1998 Plymouth was traveling south at 90 mph in a 45 mph zone while fleeing police. The vehicle ran over Stop Sticks and began to fishtail. The vehicle swerved off the road, hit a fence, spun, hit a tree, rolled onto its roof, through a fence and came to a rest in a parking lot. The driver, a 17-year-old boy, was charged with fleeing and eluding and taken to Tampa General Hospital. Estimated vehicle damage was $15,000. 33. LUTZ-LAKE FERN ROAD AT GUNN HIGHWAY, MARCH 29, 10:55 A.M.: A northbound 1991 Ford was driving too fast for wet road conditions and skidded trying to stop for a traffic light. The vehicle slid into a westbound 1995 Ford truck that was stopped at the light. The 1991 Ford driver, a 24-year-old man, was charged with driving too fast for conditions. The 1995 Ford driver, a 37-year-old man, was taken to University Community Hospital Carrollwood. 34. FLETCHER AVENUE AT LIVINGSTON AVENUE, MARCH 29, 12:35 P.M.: A westbound 1993 Acura trying to stop on the wet road rear-ended a 1991 Isuzu. The Acura was traveling very close to the rear of the Isuzu in heavy rains and low visibility. The Acura driver, an 18-year-old man, was charged with failure to use due care. The Isuzu driver, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to University Community Hospital. 35. FLETCHER AVENUE AT 15TH STREET, MARCH 29, 6:50 P.M.: A northbound 1994 Nissan turned left into the path of an eastbound 1996 Nissan.
