Architects selected for water station

Wedding, Stephenson and Ibarguen Architects of St. Petersburg has been selected to design a $1-million waterfront research and educational facility for Tampa Bay Watch, an organization which monitors water quality for the bay area. Plans include a marine science station, a classroom building, a boat maintenance facility and a caretaker's cottage. It will be located on a half-acre of property on Cunningham Key, near Fort DeSoto Park.

Embroider-Me, a custom-order embroidery business, has moved from its location on 66th Street N in St. Petersburg, next to the Army Navy Store, to a larger facility at 5208 66th St. N. Owned by sisters Traci Feeley and Kelli Pilsbury, the business specializes in custom-order embroidery items.

Sterling Enterprises Group Inc., a 3-year-old investment services firm, has moved from its First Avenue N location in St. Petersburg to 286 107th Ave., Treasure Island. The business is a full-service broker/dealer of mutual funds, stocks, bonds commodities trading and insurance products.

Kathleen Oathout has been elected vice president of operations and development by the Florida International Museum Board of Directors. Oathout previously served as senior vice president for membership and operations at the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

More than 30 bay area businesses will be on hand at Job Mart, 8:30 a.m.-noon April 21 at the Sunshine Center, 330 Fifth St. N, St. Petersburg. Bentley Lipscomb, AARP Florida State Director, will speak on the merits of hiring older workers. Workshops include "New Rules for Landing a Job: Interview Skills that Give You the Edge" and "Job Searches on the Net." For information, call the Office on Aging, 893-7102.
