Armwood's James Anthony will sign a national letter of intent with East Tennessee State University on Wednesday.

Anthony, a 6-foot-3 guard, verbally committed to the Division I Southern Conference school this past weekend, Armwood athletic director George Fekete said.

Anthony also considered Arkansas-Little Rock and The Citadel.

He averaged 22.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while leading Armwood to the Class 4A, District 10 championship as a senior.

East Tennessee State went 18-10 and won its first-ever Southern Conference North Division championship this past season. The Bucs' 18 wins were the most in head coach Ed DeChellis' five seasons.
