Man accused of fondling three boysBy LEANORA MINAI © St. Petersburg Times, published April 12, 2001 ST. PETE BEACH -- A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged Wednesday with child abuse and lewd and lascivious molestation after luring three boys to his whirlpool and fondling them, police said. Kenneth A. Kline, founder of Optimum Human Performance Centers, met the teenage boys at Tyrone Square Mall and offered them jobs at his company, said St. Pete Beach Detective Jonathan McKay. His business, which also operates under the name BioVision, produces digital computer graphics and imaging for sports analysis, special effects, movies and video games. Kline told the boys, who are all under 18, that he would connect machines to them to take pictures of their simulated movements, police said. Kline also sold himself as a personal trainer, saying he could get the boys in shape for the images, police said. At 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the boys went to Kline's townhouse at Captiva Cay, 9311 Blind Pass Road, police said. They went over exercises, and Kline led them to the whirlpool. "And at that point, one by one, he fondled each one of them," said McKay, the detective. Kline is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious acts and one count each of lewd and lascivious molestation, child abuse and sexual battery. He was held on $161,000 bail. © 2006 • All Rights Reserved • Tampa Bay Times
