BASKETBALL: Lakewood's Marcus Morrison, the Pinellas County co-Player of the Year, helped Fastbreak USA, an AAU-team based in Orlando, to a second-place finish in the Charlie Weber Invitational Friday through Sunday at Villanova.

About 100 teams competed in the 17-and-under division. Morrison's team, which features the nation's consensus No. 1-ranked junior, Amare Stoudemire of Orlando, won six consecutive games before getting upended in the title game by Sonny Hill II of Philadelphia 58-49.

"Marcus played very well," Fastbreak general manager Matt Ramker said. "He opened a lot of eyes of recruiters."
