The pitchers

BRYAN REKAR: When he is on, Rekar usually does a good job of keeping the Rays in the game. He was sharper in his last outing (holding Toronto to two runs and five hits over seven innings) than in his first, a good sign.

SIDNEY PONSON: Ponson has allowed three home runs and eight earned runs in two starts, though he has struck out 16 in 10 2/3 innings. He pitches well against the Rays, better than his 2-3 record and 2.77 ERA indicate.
