Fight leads to death and a murder chargeBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published April 16, 2001 INDIAN ROCKS BEACH -- A 28-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder Sunday after he got into a fight with another man who died from his injuries. Jason Weiss, of 211 18th Ave. S and Edward Lipowski, 40, fought outside of Whitey's Beach Bar on Gulf Boulevard late Friday night, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Lipowski, of 2505 Bay Boulevard, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he died early Sunday from head injuries. Wiess was arrested Sunday night.
