New York fell 11/2 games behind Miami for the third playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks can only be the No. 3 seed by beating Detroit and having Miami lose twice.

HORNETS 106, HAWKS 83: Host Charlotte continued its push toward the playoffs and clinched sixth in the East. The Hornets trail fifth-place Toronto by a half-game.

CLIPPERS 100, SUNS 80: Jeff McInnis had 20 points and 13 assists and Lamar Odom had 18 points and 12 rebounds for host Los Angeles.

KINGS 110, GRIZZLIES 100: Vlade Divac had 21 points and 16 rebounds for host Sacramento.

NUGGETS: Guard Voshon Lenard was arrested on misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon after allegedly shooting at deer from his yard.

DISCIPLINE: Portland suspended forward Rasheed Wallace for throwing a towel in the face of teammate Arvydas Sabonis during Sunday's game. Also, the league fined Sacramento guard Jason Williams $25,000 for "inappropriate conduct directed at fans," and Minnesota forward Kevin Garnett $7,500 for making an obscene gesture to an official.

WNBA

The league hosts a free-agent camp 9 a.m.-6 p.m. today at Walter Fuller Recreation Center, 7821 26th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Several coaches and scouts will be at the invitation-only camp for players not invited to the predraft combine.

Miami forward and former East Bay standout Katrina Colleton will be on hand. The event is free and open to the public. Games will be from 10:50 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:30-6:15.
