Police seek facts about woman's death in lakeBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published April 19, 2000 SAN ANTONIO -- Investigators on Tuesday still were trying to piece together the facts about the death of a Zephyrhills woman who was found floating in Lake Iola Sunday afternoon. Teresa Carrico, 41, had been riding a personal watercraft around the small lake in north Pasco County, witnesses said. About 4:20 p.m., boaters spotted Carrico's body floating on the surface, took her to shore and started CPR Carrico was rushed to Pasco Community Hospital in Dade City and placed on life support. She died Monday morning. Investigators with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are awaiting autopsy results that may provide clues to the accident, said Gary Morse, a spokesman for the agency. Carrico was not wearing a life jacket when she got on a water scooter and rode away from a group of friends, witnesses told investigators. Silver stolen from photographic shopDADE CITY -- Pasco deputies are searching for a burglar who broke into a business that recovers precious metals from photographic film and stole about 50 pounds of silver ingots, the Sheriff's Office said. The break-in occurred sometime over the weekend, Charles Pebler, owner of Photographic Waste Solutions, told deputies. In addition to the silver, reports said, the burglar also stole two televisions and a saw from the business at 20713 U.S. 301. The Sheriff's Office did not release the estimated value of the silver ingots, which were shaped like pyramids and had no identifying marks or numbers.
