DADE CITY -- Two teenagers accused of robbing a 69-year-old woman and her daughter in Dade City were arrested April 12, a report stated.

Michael Paul Vaughns, 17, with no known address, and George Lasano, 17, of 35108 Michelle Drive in Dade City, were arrested.

Pasco County sheriff's deputies said on 14th Street in Dade City the pair approached a car carrying Linda Mitchell of Dade City and her 69-year-old mother, whom police declined to name.

Vaughns allegedly pulled a gun on the women and demanded money. Linda Mitchell gave him $40. She said the men then drove off in a white 1998 Ford Explorer.

The pair later was arrested by deputies on Old Lakeland Highway in Dade City.

Vaughns was charged with armed robbery. Both teens were charged with grand theft auto in connection to an earlier Zephyrhills theft, the report stated.

The two teens were taken to Pasco County juvenile detention center. Officials there declined to comment as to whether the teens remained in custody Wednesday.
