EDUCATION: UT will sponsor a technical education career orientation night at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the John H. Sykes College of Business building, Room 134. Training experts from data management systems will join UT counselors detailing the new certifications available at UT, including those for Microsoft systems engineer, Cisco certified network administrator and Citrix certified administrator. THEATER: UT's Department of Speech, Theater and Dance presents the musical Company at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the David Falk Theater. ART: USF presents Crossroads and Echoes, a multimedia exhibition, today through April 27 in the Centre Gallery on the Tampa campus. A reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. today in the Gallery. The exhibition traces the explorations of a selected group of instructors, student artists and art historians from the Fine Arts Department at USF. These multimedia group shows feature painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography. Call (813) 974-5464.

HCC's Ybor Campus Art Gallery will present the 27th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition today through May 23. The opening reception will be from 7-9 p.m. today in the Gallery. USF's Contemporary Art Museum presents the exhibition UNION from Monday through May 6 in the contemporary art museum on campus. An artist walk-through will be held from 3-4 p.m., and an oral theses defense will be held from 4-7:30 p.m., both on Wednesday. An opening reception will be held from 7-9 p.m. on April 27. LECTURE: USF presents a lecture by political scientist, Steve Ellner, at noon on Tuesday, April 24, in Cooper Hall 478, LACS. Ellner will lead a discussion on the political situation in contemporary Venezuela. Call (813) 974-3547.

EVENTS: UT hosts the second MBA Executive Tune-Up from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today in JS 134 of the Sykes College of Business building. The program is aimed at sharpening and refreshing business skills. Dr. Velma McCuiston, co-director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership and associate professor of management, will present "Unlock the Leader Inside You." Dr. William Rhey, professor of marketing and associate dean of the Sykes College of Business, and Robert McMurrian, associate professor of marketing, will present "The Service Profit Chain." UT is hosting an "Admissions Open House" from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, in the lobby of Plant Hall. High school seniors and transfer students can get a preview of UT, and members of UT's financial aid staff will conduct a session on financial aid and how to apply for academic and need-based scholarships. UT's Center for Ethics sponsors the seminar/workshop Ethics: What's Hot? What's Not? from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 23, in Plant Hall.
