DANCE IN THE HILLS: Dawnmarie, the latest addition to the group, Beverly Hills Dancers, will be introduced at the Beverly Hills Recreation Association's Spring Fling on Saturday. The dance group has also announced an expanded repertoire that includes a wider variety of music and dance steps. Tickets, on sale in the Beverly Hills Recreation Association Clubhouse during regular business hours, are $3 for members and $4 for non-members (plus tax). Tickets may be charged to your VISA/MasterCard. For mail order information, call 746-4882. Doors open at 7 p.m., with music beginning at 7:30.

ART LEAGUE CALENDARS: The Citrus County Art League is accepting entries for its 2002 calendar, through May 31. Cover will be in color, monthly illustrations in black and white. Artwork should be horizontal, on a 9 by 12-inch paper. Call Elaine at 527-2862. ARTISTS MEET: The Citrus County Art League Visual Artists meet at the art league, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Hernando, from 9:30 to 2 p.m. every Wednesday to work on individual projects. CRAFTERS: The Citrus County Craft Council meets at 1 p.m. the second Monday of the month at ABC Pizza on U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. This is a new meeting place for the council. Meetings are Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 13. Call 621-3608.

PORTRAIT ARTISTS: The Citrus County Art League portrait artists meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon every Friday at the art league, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Hernando. Call Wilbur at 527-3227.

Curtain calls

AUDITIONS: Playhouse 19 will have auditions for Man of La Mancha at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the theater, 865 U.S. 19 S, Crystal River. Auditioners should bring sheet music and be prepared to sing to a piano accompaniment. Have a memorized monologue shorter than two minutes. Call 563-1333.

AUDITION: The Citrus County Art League, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486 west of Hernando, will have auditions for Lovers and Other Strangers at 7 p.m. Monday. Casting call is for people in their late teens and early 20s. Call director Jackie deTorres at 860-1976.

SYMPHONY POPS: The Central Florida Symphony wraps up its current season with an Afternoon at the Pops concert beginning at 3 p.m. April 29 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. Selections include Light Cavalry Overture by Von Suppe, Enesco's Romanian Rhapsody No. 2 and Bizet's Carmen Suite No. 2. Contemporary favorites offered will be selections from West Side Story, An American in Paris and Hoe-down. Tickets are $15 (adult reserved seat) and $10 (adult general admission). ART LEAGUE PLAY: Tickets for the upcoming production of A Thousand Clowns are available for $8 at the Citrus County Art League box office, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., off County Road 486, west of Hernando.
