Religion brieflyBy Times staff writers © St. Petersburg Times, published April 21, 2001 Treasure Island club plans guest speakerRobert Boston, assistant director of communications for Americans United for Separation of Church and State, will speak at 12:30 p.m. today at the Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club, 400 Treasure Island Causeway, in Treasure Island. Boston will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the St. Petersburg Largo Area Secular Humanists. Free. Call Jan Eisler at (727) 391-7571. Boston also will speak Sunday at the United Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of St. Petersburg, 5721 Central Ave. The meeting begins at 10:15 a.m., and the program is at 10:45 a.m. Music, praise event scheduled at churchFriendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3300 31st St. S, will hold a music and praise workshop Friday, April 28 and April 29. The workshop leader will be Rose Mary Smith Griffin of Orangeburg, S.C. In addition, Pastor Greg Davis, Keith Fournoy and Kenneth Nixon will participate.
