BELLAMY ELEMENTARY: Family Math Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the school, 8720 Wilsky Blvd. Parents and students will participate in math activities designed to incorporate county benchmark skills for each grade level. For information, call (813) 872-5387.

CANNELLA ELEMENTARY: A kindergarten roundup for new students will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the school, 10707 Nixon Road. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to register. Parents must bring their child's birth certificate, health and immunization records, Social Security number and proof of residency. If unable to attend the roundup, parents may stop by the main office to pick up kindergarten registration packets. For information, call (813) 975-6941.

The Spring Festival of the Arts and Silent Auction is Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the school courtyard and multipurpose room. Children will provide musical entertainment;pizza and salad will be available for purchase, and guests can bid on gift baskets to raise money for school technology.

CARROLLWOOD ELEMENTARY: The annual carnival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school, 3516 McFarland Road. Activities will include game booths, moonwalk, petting zoo and pony rides. VENDORS FAIR: PTAs and other non-profit groups are invited to the PTA Spring School of Information and Vendors Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Coleman Middle School, 1724 S Manhattan Ave. The fair will feature booth exhibits displaying fundraising ideas and products for groups and families. POETRY CONTEST: Barnes & Noble and Busch Gardens will recognize National Poetry Month and Earth Day with a poem contest for students in grades 6-12. Children should write a one-page poem using this year's theme, "My Rhino Rally adventure would be . . . ." Submissions must include the author's name, grade, school and contact phone number. ART COMPETITION: U.S. Rep. Jim Davis invites high school students from the 11th Congressional District to participate in An Artistic Discovery, the 20th annual Congressional High School Art Competition. The Tampa Museum of Art will display the competition artwork, and the winning entry will be hung in the U.S. Capitol for one year. The winning artist will receive a four-year $10,000 scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design or the University of Tampa. Entries must be submitted by April 25 to Davis' Tampa office at 3315 Henderson Blvd, Suite 100, Tampa FL 33609. High school art teachers should have competition guidelines.
