Technology Fast 50 deadline is May 15

High-tech companies interested in competing in the 2000 Tampa Bay Technology Fast 50 have until May 15 to apply for the event. The rankings are based on percentage revenue growth between 1995 and 1999. To be eligible, companies need revenue of at least $50,000 in 1995 and $1-million in 1999. A new category has been added this year, the Rising Star Award, for companies in businesses that are at least 3 years old. Sponsors of the event are Deloitte & Touche, in association with Marsh; Fowler White; the University of South Florida Office for Corporate Development; the Tampa Bay Partnership; and the Maddux Report. Five vie for Tampa Bay's CIO of year
Five people have been nominated for chief information officer of the year by the Tampa Bay CIO Council. The finalists are David P. Aldridge, executive vice president and CIO, Home Shopping Network; Mark A. Andrews, CIO and vice president global technology, Equifax Check Solutions; Susan L. Bross, vice president, information technology, Catalina Marketing; Mark L. Cain, vice president, information technology, Havatampa; and E. Nancy Markle, Americas CIO, Arthur Andersen LLP. The winner will be announced May 16 at the Tampa Convention Center. The Tampa Bay CIO Council is made up of chief information officers from some of the Tampa Bay area's largest companies.
