Falcon wants a pair of titles

JACKSONVILLE -- Erin Heeder plays in national tournaments most weekends, so there isn't much about high school tennis that excites her.

But there is one scenario that intrigues the Dunedin sophomore.

"I want to win states in two events," she said.

Heeder took the first step Monday, breezing through her first two matches to advance to the semifinal round of the Class 2A girls individual tournament at the University of North Florida.

A victory over No. 2 seed Natalie Arcario of Bishop Moore today would put Heeder into the final, where she likely will meet Gulliver Prep's Krystin Lucas.
