BROOKSVILLE -- Police are looking for a man they said tried to run over two people with his car Tuesday.
The man, who was driving a white, two-door Toyota Tercel, attempted to hit a man and a woman several times in the parking lot of the Sunset Motel, 301 S Broad St., a report said. The victims, motel handyman Malcolm Maraquin and motel manager Eileen McGuire, told police the man tried to hurt them because he thinks they stole his jewelry while he stayed at the motel.
The police were called, and the man fled north on Broad Street, reports said. Police did not release a detailed description of the man.
