Letters to the EditorsLitter reducing luster of Little Road project
© St. Petersburg Times, published April 27, 2000 Editor: It is so nice to see that Little Road is finished. What is not so nice is that there are plenty of slobs, and I mean grown-ups and not kids, who litter the road. There are items that have been lying there for five weeks. What happened to the prisoners that used to clean the road when it was two lanes? It is a disgrace. There should be signs "$500 fine" on that road and enforce it.
Mayer should look inward rather than blame othersRe: Pasco GOP hijacked by ecological pirates, April 21 letter
Editor: Now Zoltan Mayer has found yet another windmill to joust with in his Don Quixote-like quest, John Renke. The Buntings were first; now Renke has joined the list of Mayer's problems. I believe if Zoltan Mayer will take a very hard and deep look in the mirror when he is shaving, Mayer will see his problem "real" or "imaged."
Water woes should give pause to developmentEditor: We had a scary experience at our house this week, no water like other wells and lakes in Pasco County. Have you ever tried to bathe, do laundry, wash dishes, clean house, wash a car or dog, flush toilets and take a pill without water? Water is taken for granted. Luckily for us, it was only a well pump. Pasco County needs to slow building until another water source is found. It would take a hurricane to replenish our groundwater, and heaven help us if that happens. We should be good stewards of this earth that God gave us.
