Leto coach Landy Faedo has agreed to leave the Falcons to take over as coach at Alonso next season.

Faedo, who graduated from Jefferson in 1983 and coached under Frank Permuy at Gaither for nine years, has been coach at Leto for the past four seasons. The Falcons won their first district title since 1986 Thursday night.

"It's going to be sad to leave," said Faedo, who will join former Leto athletic director Louis Diaz. "This is a real young team."- MIKE READLING
