LARGO -- A woman who speaks only French who was visiting relatives for a wedding disappeared Wednesday during a walk to the store, and family members fear she is lost.
Nicole Kirsch, 56, left her family's business, Fox Bar and Grill, 1158 Seventh St. NW, at 4 p.m. Wednesday and headed to the Publix Supermarket at Rosery Road and Missouri Avenue. She did not return.
Family members spent the night searching for her, said Josie Kantner, her cousin.
"I think she lost her sense of direction," Kantner said. "I think she's lost."
Employees at the Publix remember Kirsch because of the language barrier. She was holding a Wal-Mart bag. Kantner said she also had medications with her, including anti-depressants.
Kantner said it is unlike Kirsch to disappear.
Kirsch knows no phone numbers for her relatives, and she was not carrying identification.
She is white, 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has brown eyes, and short and straight black hair. She was last seen wearing a brown skirt and a black, red and orange short-sleeve top. She also carried a black purse.
There is no indication of foul play at this time, police said.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts can call police at (727) 587-6717.
