Three county athletes earn titles at A-3 meet

Berkeley Prep's Rolf Steier and Tampa Baptist's Garrett Johnson were multiple winners at the Class A, Region 3 meet at Orlando First Academy late Thursday.

Steier won the 1,600 and 3,200, and Johnson won the shot put and discus.

The Buccaneers finished fifth with 43 points, the highest finish among Hillsborough County schools.

In the girls field, Renee Jones of Tampa Prep won the 200 and 400. The other county winner was Marissa Davenport of Tampa Baptist in the discus.
