Citrus political scene

The Nature Coast Republican Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. May 12 at the Coastal Region Library, 8619 W Crystal Ave., Crystal River. The featured speaker will be Ron Schultz, Citrus County property appraiser, who will talk about Citrus County 1990 and 2000.
Make plans for the spaghetti cook-off scheduled for October with Sam Lyons as the chairperson. Our political leaders will show off their culinary skills and those attending will have the opportunity to meet and talk with them.
The Democratic Women's Club of Citrus County will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hernando Civic Club, 2848 E Parsons Point Road. The guest speakers will be Deputies Robby Bell and Arnold Virgilio from the Citrus County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad. The meeting is open to the public.
