BIG WINNERS: Dee Smith and Bob Stolp have had a couple of banner months at Parkview Lanes.

They were selected as the March League Bowlers of the Month at the Holder center, then teamed up last weekend to win the monthly Mixed Doubles No-Tap Tournament.

Smith began slowly, shooting a 161 in the first game, then fired games of 241-298-287. Stolp bowled consistently with games of 254-266-258-275.

Carol Bohl and Jose Falu earned second place and Anita Delorne and David Pringle finished third.

Falu had the only 300 games of the no-tap tournament, which won him the first-game pot. Smith won two game pots and Pringle won one. Stolp won the series pot.

The Crazy Eights competition finished in a called tie between Lori Ciquera and Judy Timmons, both of whom continued to roll strikes until spectators were worn out, Parkview Lanes owner C.H. Crockett said.

The next monthly no-tap tournament will be Sunday, May 21, at 4:30 p.m.

ROLL-OFF: The first bingo roll-off was held April 16 at Parkview Lanes. Division winners were Marilyn Seymour, Mike Thompson and C.H. Crockett. Chari Nesmith, Richard Berquist and Eric Glowacki were the runners-up in each division.
