You don't need much, just a bucket, shovel and a little imagination. Building a good sand castle is as much art as science. For starters, figure out where the high tide line is. If you want your creation to last (until some 5-year-old stomps it), place it above the tide line. But if you want to redo the storm scene from Cape Fear, build it below the high water mark. Tonka toys, little green army men and parasols from the beach bar are nice added touches.
