Riding a beach cruiser

You can keep your racers, hybrids and mountain bikes. When it comes to real Florida riding, there is only one way to go: on a beach cruiser. Most reputable bicycle shops sell fat-tired, one-speed bikes with big ol' padded seats. If your favorite shop doesn't, it obviously caters to "serious" riders. Time to hit the local hardware store or Kmart. If you can't find a bike there, stop by a garage sale, buy yourself an old lunker, then spray paint it yellow. Put some air in the tires, pick up a $2 horn and a raccoon tail. Now you are ready to ride.
