Established in 1991, this publicly funded organization has addressed Tampa Bay's most pressing problems: water and sediment quality, dredging and dredged material management, bay habitats, spill prevention and response, and bay fisheries and wildlife.
Six years of work culminated in the publication of Charting the Course, a comprehensive blueprint for bay restoration. For more information on the Tampa Bay Estuary Program and its publications, including the Boaters Guide to Tampa Bay and The Tampa Bay Repair Kit, call (727) 893-2765, or check out its website at tbep.org.
