Tampa Bay is blessed with numerous small islands that provide nesting areas for a variety of seabirds. The National Audubon Society's Florida Coastal Island Sanctuaries works to protect the great colonial waterbird populations and natural systems that support them. You can do your share by picking up trash and discarded fishing line that can injure and kill nesting birds. To find out more about the birds of Tampa Bay call (813) 623-6826.
