The Osprey Trail

The Osprey Trail on 400-acre Honeymoon Island is a great place to step away from civilization.

There aren't many places close to suburbia where you can see a great horned owl and osprey nesting in one of the few remaining stands of native slash pine trees. This trail on the northern tip of the 400-acre Honeymoon Island State Recreation Area offers those treasures and more. Entrance fee $4. Call (727) 469-5942.
