You can search the state far and wide for a good waterfront campsite, but few compare to those at Fort De Soto. The tree-lined park, located at the southern tip of Pinellas County, has 233 campsites, each one equipped with electricity, water, picnic table and grill. The $23.21 per night fee is well worth it. There is a two-night minimum. Reservations must be made in person, no more than 30 days in advance. Call (727) 582-2267.
