The Eckerd Concert Choir will present a Spring Choral Concert at 3 p.m. today in Griffin Chapel. The program will include Te Deum in C Major by Haydn, A Jubilant Song by Norman Dello Joio, Three Old American Songs by Aaron Copland, a medley from the musical Les Miserables and some spirituals. The Eckerd Ringers also will perform.

The Very Special Arts (VSA) International Conference will be held in St. Petersburg this week. VSA promotes creativity in people with disabilities and provides educational opportunities. Several of the events will take place at USF:

  • Wednesday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Community Dialogue for Democracy on Art, Disability and Civic Life, with keynote speaker Jean Kennedy Smith, founder of VSA arts and U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, at 4 p.m.; at the Florida Center for Teachers, 599 Second St. S.
  • Friday: noon-2 p.m., VSA of Florida 20th Anniversary Celebration, with arts, music and dance; at the Florida Center for Teachers parking lot.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Artist Exchange and Career Summit. Workshops will be held to help artists with disabilities interested in pursuing a career in the arts. Artists are invited to display their works; in the Campus Activities Center.
