Annual golf tournament to take place Saturday

The third annual St. Petersburg Catholic High School Athlete Salute golf tournament is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at Bardmoor Golf & Country Club, 8001 Cumberland Road, Largo. A limited field of 144 amateurs is invited to enjoy tee packages, prizes and an awards luncheon.

Cost for individual golfers is $75. Hole sponsorships are $125, and foursome and hole sponsorships are $375.

Teachers to give seminar on motivating 5-year-olds

Kindergarten teachers at St. Petersburg Christian School will present a seminar titled "How to Motivate 5-Year-Olds Toward Extraordinary Achievement" at 7 p.m. Thursday in the school gymnasium, 2021 62nd Ave. N. The seminar is free and open to the public. Parents of 4-year-olds are encouraged to bring their children.

Future kindergarteners' parents invited to meeting

Parents of children entering Azalea Elementary School's kindergarten class in August are encouraged to attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 17 in the media center, 1680 74th St. N. A new program to encourage positive social interaction will be discussed.
