Creative Kids is a Sprint Yellow Pages community program that provides an opportunity for children to get their original works of art published in the Sprint telephone book yellow pages.
The small pictures sprinkled throughout the pages in the Citrus County book are drawn by local children. Ten schools submitted drawings.
To add a little more fun to the program, Sprint chose three winners in a random drawing to be featured on the first page of the Yellow Pages in the 2001 directory. Other children's drawings will appear throughout the Yellow Pages as space permits.
The participating children were in grades one through three and attended Hernando Elementary School, Crystal River Primary School, New Testament Christian School, Floral City Elementary School, West Coast Christian School, Pleasant Grove Elementary School, Homosassa Elementary School, Rock Crusher Elementary School, Dunnellon Christian School and Seven Rivers Christian School.
Jonathan Blake, first grade, Dunnellon Christian School, Lindsey O'Quinn, second grade, Seven Rivers Christian School, and Casey Kilgore, third grade Crystal River Primary School were the three students whose drawings were selected for the first yellow page.
