TAMPA -- Jefferson's Tim Jackson accepted a full scholarship to Dodge City Community College in Kansas.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back intercepted seven passes and made 76 tackles last season. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds and squats 500 pounds.
"He is expected to be a Division I recruit in two years," Jefferson assistant coach Lane McLaughlin said. "He was a partial qualifier but went the community college route."
Jackson's brother, Earnest, a lineman, earlier committed to Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss.
Since 1987, more than 200 players have gone on to play at four-year colleges after completing Hinds, including 100 with Division I schools.
