BADGE WORKSHOP FOR SCOUTS: Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can investigate the wonders of science during in-depth workshops that will fulfill badge requirements. Workshops include hands-on activities, supplies and admission to the Museum of Science and Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave.
The workshops are from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays or 1 to 3 p.m. by appointment. The next workshop this Saturday is "Outdoor Fun" for Brownie Girl Scouts.
Scouts must be accompanied by a chaperone. Workshops are limited to a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 40 Scouts. The cost is $10 per Scout and one adult is free for every five Scouts. For information, call (813) 987-6300.
CANDY APPLE SUNDAY: Head to New Tampa to hear rock alternative group, Candy Apple Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
The band will perform at the Joyful Reader/Holy Grounds Expresso Bar, 19651 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., behind Durango Steakhouse. The coffee bar has a variety of special live music every Friday and Saturday evening. For information, call (813) 907-7175.
SATURN 5 PERFORMS AT SKIPPER'S: Saturn 5 attacks songs with heavy guitars, vocals, bass and R&B style. The strong musicianship is augmented with the xylophone, bongos, harmonica and saxophones.
