Final parkway booths to open within 10 daysBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published May 12, 2001 The two remaining toll booths on the Suncoast Parkway are scheduled to open during the next 10 days. Starting at 6 a.m. Monday, collections at the State Road 50 ramps in Hernando County will begin. Collections at the County Line Road ramps will begin at 6 a.m. May 21. The toll will be 25 cents at each. Toll collectors will be working at the booths from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; exact change will be required during hours when collectors are not on duty. Construction activity may continue in the vicinity of the toll plazas, and the speed limit is reduced to 55 mph in construction zones. Booths at the SR 50 and County Line Road ramps were originally scheduled to open earlier this month. However, due to computer problems, the opening was postponed.
