Occasional testimonials from X-Team members about why being on the X-Team is a good thing.

Here are the top three reasons why YOU should try to be an X-Team member next year:
No. 3 Perks and pluses -- Free T-shirts, pencils, note pads and a cooler cup are just a few of the things I received when I joined the X-Team. Plus, I've gotten some good writing tips from the minimeetings with editors. You'll also impress your friends with the official-looking press pass you'll be issued.
No. 2 People and places -- You'll meet people and go places you might never have encountered in your "regular life." I got to meet authors and an artist. I've interviewed a man who's run 200 marathons in one year and gone to a zany theater production for assignments.
And the No. 1 reason you should try to be on the X-Team -- Fame and fortune. Just kidding about the fortune part, but you might find yourself extra popular with all your friends because they want you to put their names in the paper!
