This month's feature is At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon. And for the kids today, the bookstore hosts 1987 Caldecott Medal Honor winner Suse MacDonald, author of Alphabatics and Sea Shapes, for a book signing at 7 p.m. MacDonald's books are geared toward preschool and early elementary-age children. Hear the sounds of the centuries when Eckerd College hosts the Danielle Herman -- Senior Recital at 8 tonight in the Roberts Music Center, Room 104, 4200 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Florida's educators are honored in a live broadcast from Orlando in The 2001 Burdines Florida Teacher of the Year Awards tonight on WEDU. Among the five finalists for Florida's Teacher of the Year are local educators James Manos of Lecanto Middle School in Citrus County and Anete Vasquez of Palm Harbor University High School in Pinellas County. 8 p.m.

Court TV profiles America's first female serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, tonight on Crime Stories. Wuornos, now on death row, was convicted May 7, 1992, of three murders, including the slaying of Charles "Dick" Humphreys of Crystal River. 10 p.m.
