PORT RICHEY -- A man wearing a red ski mask grabbed a convenience store clerk Tuesday night and held a gun to her head, then took cash from the register, Pasco County sheriff's deputies said.
The robbery happened at about 8:20 p.m. at the Chevron Smart Mart at 7820 State Road 52 in Port Richey.
The 33-year-old clerk said she was taking some garbage outside when the man in the red mask grabbed her from behind, held a gun to her head and pulled her inside.
A report by Deputy Brad Allen said the man in the ski mask demanded money. While the clerk opened the register, a second man stood in the back of the store, also holding a gun.
The man in the ski mask grabbed the money from the register, and as the two left the store, he turned around and pointed the gun at the clerk and yelled "boom, boom."
The clerk then pressed a panic button under the register, which alerted 911 to the robbery, the report said.
The two robbers ran toward Gulf Highlands and left in a four-door, silver Honda, according to witnesses.
Sheriff's officials did not release the amount of money stolen.

SPRING HILL -- A 37-year-old man is in jail in lieu of $27,000 bail, accused of cutting his live-in girlfriend with a knife, slapping her and throwing her to the floor.
David Dwaine Warner of 14727 Elmont Ave., Spring Hill, was arrested at his home on Tuesday at 8:26 p.m.
A Sheriff's Office report said Warner held a knife to his girlfriend's neck and threatened her, then cut her three times. He also slapped her, grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor, a deputy's report said.
The woman refused medical treatment, the report said.
Warner was charged with aggravated assault and simple battery. He was held at the county jail in Land O'Lakes.
