The second annual "A-T Walk for a Cure," benefiting the A-T Children's Project will be Sunday at the River Ridge Presbyterian Youth Hall, 9230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m., and the walk starts at 2:30 p.m. Amanda Zampella, 10, was diagnosed at 6 with ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T) and will be leading the 1-mile stroll. A long term care seminar will be at 1 p.m. today at the Ramada Inn, 5105 U.S. 19, New Port Richey and at 7 p.m. Monday at the Timber Greens Clubhouse, Little Road and River Crossing Boulevard. Home care, community care, assisted living facilities and full-care nursing homes are the topics. A workshop will be given that assists in determining need, and how to qualify by age and health.
