Vargo, loan originator at the SunTrust Mortgage lending office in Hernando was recently honored at the company's 2001 Sales Awards Conference as a "top producer in units and dollars" in the Retail Division. The sales awards banquet, held in March at the Marco Island Marriott Resort and Golf Club in Marco Island, south of Naples, Fla., honored the top 15 percent of SunTrust's retail mortgage originators.

Homosassa Riverside Resort is now coordinating a fourth of July event, The Homosassa Revolutionary River Blast set for June 30. Participating businesses include K.C. Crumps/Ramshackles, Homosassa Civic Club, Natures Resort Campground, and McCraes. This first-ever event will be a family event with many activities during the day and evening. The Network of Citrus Agencies will meet at 1 p.m. in the Citrus County Government building in Lecanto, 3600 W Sovereign Path. Please check the lobby bulletin board for the room number. The main speaker will be Ms. Jimmy Bryant, the assistant director of Withlacoochee Technical Institute, who will speak on Adult Basic Education and GED programs. Rich Meyer will speak on Daystar, and Tammy Burt will speak on the Telephone Reassurance Program in Citrus County.
